In today’s episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we reflect on Israel’s demand for a king in 1 Samuel 8:19–22 and consider how it points us to the true King, Jesus Christ, who reigns in righteousness and humility. From the Old Covenant longing for stability to the New Covenant fulfillment in Christ, we explore what it means to trust God’s leadership over every substitute the world offers. Then in the Second Pour, we celebrate the birthdays of alumnae Kelyn Davis and Soon Park, along with Samuel and Noah in the 6th grade.
