Kazuchika Okada takes on Jay White on Night 1 in a barnstormer. Kenny Omega and Tetsuya Naito tear up Night 2 and on Night 3 Jay White is back against The Ace Hirohsi Tanahashi.

James is joined by Chelsea Spollen of Shoulders Up this week for one big long talk. The age of old stomping grounds of the San Fransisco Cow Palace became home to a new brand of Warrior. New Japan made their now annual pre G1 visit and blew up a card for the ages. Hirooki Goto defended his NEVER Openweight title against first time challenger and singles débutante Jeff Cobb. The Young Bucks defended their Heavyweight IWGP Tag Titles against former champions Evil and Sanada in a thrilling affair. Hiromu Takahashi went back to his first love Dragon Lee to defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title. Jay White defended his US title in the Us for the first time against Juice Robinson, and Kenny Omega defended his IWGP Heavyweight title for the first time, and tried to settle the leadership of Bullet Club in one foul swoop against Cody, but that didn't work out so well . . . .

With LIJ and Bullet Club otherwise occupied in Dayton Beach, New Japan Por Wrestling invaded these shores with Suzuki Gun and CHAOS in the lead, for a weekend of wrestling lined up against some of Rev Pro's top talent. James Truepenny is joined by Alex Watt and Marcus Green to discuss both shows in detail and how New Japan's international expansion is going.

Atsushi Onita announced he was going to retire after the FMW 6th Anniversary Show. In the build up to his final match, FMW had to deliver and lay up all their talent for what would happen next. What would happen on the day was a No Rope Barbed Wire Electrified Cage Time Bomb Double Hell Death Match for the FMW Brass Knuckles World's Heavyweight Championship and the chance for Hayabusa to take the FMW reigns as its Ace.

As she did begin her career in 1995, and the Beginner's Guide to Japan has reached 1995 it seemed churlish not to look at the career of the greatest professional wrestler in the world today. Starting with her time in GAEA, her training and the philosophy of wrestling instilled in her by Chigusau Nagayo all the way up to being the Matriarch of Sendai Girls and the wider Joshi scene and how she has spread the gospel of Joshi around the world.

There is also a look at the film GAEA Girls and the moral conundrum that Joshi brings to the table when it comes to training and the pressures those young women go through.

With hardly anything announced a month ago, this looked like it was going to be just another show. Then Naito was attacked by Chris Jericho, and The Rainmaker called out Omega for his 13th IWGP title defense, and Hiromu Takahashi won the Best of Super Juniors and everything came up roses on a card that was damn near perfect.

To add to the title picture The Young Bucks challenged current IWGP Heavyweight tag Team Champions SANADA and Evil of LIJ. Junior Tag tearaways Roppingi 3K tried once again to regain their IWGP Jnr. heavyweight titles.

New Japan took their annual celebration of all things Junior Heavyweight to new heights this year and held their final at Korakuen Hall. A full card of action that also teased this weekend's Dominion card was to be had topped of by a final between the new Bone Soldier Taiji Ishimori of Bullet Club vs Los Ignorables de Japaon's resident sociopath Hiromu Takahashi. James is joined by Simon Heath to run down all the matches on offer.

James is joined by Chelsea this week of Shoulders Up to go back in time and look at one of the classic Junior Heavyweight Tournaments of the 1990s. The 1995 Second Stage Super J Cup. hosted by WAR and booked by Ultimo Dragon it offers a snap shot of where Junior Wrestling was at the time and how far it had moved on. With stars like Chris Jericho, Jushin Thunder Liger and Gedo it helped define pro wrestling history in a way we are still feeling to this day.
