The build up to the companies 2nd Anniversary Show was hampered by the departure of three company executives, and lead heel Mr. Pogo. Tales of laziness and aggravation trailed Ohnita as his early success went to his head. Can our hero pull it out of the fire? In the main event WWWA Heavyweight Champion Bull Nakano looks to seal her dominance of the company by taking on perennial contender Monster Ripper, while Manami Toyota and Esther Moreno take a swing at the WWWA Tag Team Championship held by the monstrous Jungle Jack, Aja Kong and Bison Kimura. The All Pacific Championship is on the line too as former Marine Wolves partners Akira Hokuto and Minami Suzuki go for broke over the title in a classic match that would brow to be a classic feud for this new era of All Japan Women's Wrestling.

This is a very special Truepenny Show, the first recorded on the road as James ventures to Manchester and meets up with his long time friend and cohort Alex Watt, and adds a new member to the Truepenny Show roster in Simon Heath. Together they discuss the SWS WWF Super Wrestle card of late 1991 and talk about the rise of Genichiro Tenryu's new promotion that he formed with the help of the WWF after leaving All Japan Pro Wrestling. New Japan roles into "Golden Week" with a couple of high quality shows and toreview them James is joined by Chelsea Spollen of shouldersup.net and Alex Watt of the BBC. Tetsuya Naito defends his IWGP Intercontinental title against the up and coming Juice Robinson, Hiromu Takahashi defends the Junior belt against his chosen opponent King Ricochet, the heavyweight tag titles go on the line in a three way and finally The Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada defends the IWGP title against Bad Luck Fale.

Back in 1991, WCW and New Japan Pro Wrestling had worked up a long standing talent swap agreement. Antonio Inoki, was looking at a way of really filling the Tokyo Dome and dominating the Japanese wrestling landscape. Seeing the potential of a unification bout, and with the help of WCW's Jim Herd (yes Jim actually helped), he put together Starrcade in the Tokyo Dome, an eleven match card topped off with the main event pitting IWGP Heavyweight Champion "The Dragon" Tatsumi Fujinami vs WCW and NWA World's Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. James is joined by Alex Watt to style and profile their way through this epic card, and as always the are totally fair to Flair, and The Dragnon too.

By the time Christmas 1990 rolled around, Giant Baba's All Japan Pro Wrestling was on a roll. Having signed a ton of gaijin talent and developed a home grown roster that was one of the best ever, he set about developing the King's Road system and the Real World Tag League of that year became a focal point for it's story telling style. With Genichiro Tenryu gone, Jumbo Tsuruta starting to take things easier, just a bit mind, this was an opportunity to make new stars and reestablish old ones. James is joined by Alex Edwards to break down The Strongest Determination Tag League 1990.
