Dr. Kimlyn Bender, Associate Professor of Theology and Philosophy at the University of Sioux Falls presented our annual Willson-Addis endowed lecture in Practical Christianity. The title of Dr. Bender's lecture is: "Barth and Baptists".

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we finished up our semester long sermon series entitled: "On Journey with Mark: Sermons from the First Gospel", featuring sermons delivered by the Truett Seminary faculty. This week's sermon was given by Dr. Stephen B. Reid, Professor of Christian Scriptures here at Truett. The title of Dr. Reid's sermon is: "You Can't Stay Here", drawn from Mark 13:1-23.

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we continued our semester long sermon series entitled: "On Journey with Mark: Sermons from the First Gospel", featuring sermons delivered by the Truett Seminary faculty. This week's sermon was given by Dr. Joel Weaver, Senior Lecturer in Biblical Languages here at Truett. The title of Dr. Weaver's sermon is: "Even Messiahs Get the Blues", drawn from Mark 15:33-39 and Psalm 22.

For the fourth and final day of "Outstanding Student Preaching Week" we welcomed Aurelia Pratt, the fourth of 4 outstanding student preachers participating in this week-long event, highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary. The title for Aurelia's sermon is: "The Minister's Journey" and is drawn from 2 Kings 2:1-14.

For day three of "Outstanding Student Preaching Week" we welcomed Jamie McCallum, the third of 4 outstanding student preachers participating in this week-long event, highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary. The title for Jamie's sermon is: "A Pleasing Aroma" and is drawn from 2 Corinthians 2:12-17.

For day two of "Outstanding Student Preaching Week" we welcomed Chris Dodson, the second of 4 outstanding student preachers participating this week-long event, highlighting student preaching at Truett Seminary. The title for Chris's sermon is: "Silence the Flute" and is drawn from Mark 5:21-43.

This week at our Community Gathering for Worship we welcomed Arbra Bailey, the first of 4 outstanding, student preachers participating this week in our "Outstanding Student Preaching Week" at Truett. The title for Arbra's sermon is: "On the Road" and is drawn from Acts 8:26-40.
