From her story, we grasp the importance of endurance when it comes to believing God for our dreams.

Sarah would say to us today, When you can't understand God and impatience threatens to overwhelm you… "don't complicate God's promise with your solution." TRUST GOD!

This week on the Legends series, we are examining the life of Rehab.

The life of Rehab seems like it would not be a story from the Bible. You see, God has a story for our lives that sometimes gets off track because of chapters that He did not add… Chapters added by others or by ourselves.

What Rehab would tell us when we are feeling disappointed with our lives… "Let God write your story."

This week on the Legends series, we are examining the life of Jacob.

We all face the temptation to fake it, to put on a mask and hide… We desire to put our avatar into the situation we don't want to face. However, God can't bless who we pretend to be.

From birth, Jacob was trying to control his life… in delivery, he grabbed his brother's heel to try to be born first. Later, Jacob faked his way into the blessing.

That is how Jacob's life started… Him trying to control his own life. But in a powerful turn of events, Jacob discovers that God doesn't just love the parts of our life that we polish and present to others, God is the God of Jacob too. Through this offer of Grace, God accepts us just as we are and in Christ, He gives us a new Identity.

I believe that Jacob's message to us would be: When your life isn't turning out the way you hoped… "Let God have control of your life."

This week on the Legends series, we are examining Elisha

Elisha didn't have a grand beginning, in fact, the biggest part of his life was waiting and dreaming.

He spent most of his young years, looking at the rear end of an ox. His life may have started out this way but he ended up with a double portion of the anointing of his mentor, Elijah.

Elisha would say to you: "When you wonder if your life counts… give your best wherever He puts you."

Welcome to a new series called Legends. Today, we are going to examine Isaiah.

Isaiah would say: When you are trying to make sense of it all… "An encounter with God changes everything."

Our key verse for this series is found in Hebrews 12:1

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

We are at the conclusion of the study of Ephesians. Chapter 6 talks about putting on the armor of God... that may be a new concept to someone that's listening… but in this life we have trials… battles we have to face… and sometimes people can go into those battles feeling already defeated… In this chapter, Paul is teaching us how to be strong in the Lord. The Armor of God. Understanding how we fight spiritually is soooo important to understand!

The Book of Ephesians can really be broken into two sections. The first 3 chapters really focuses on what Jesus did in us and through us and how we are made worthy of His calling and the last 3 chapters are really a description of how we are to respond to that. How to walk worthy of His calling. Today, join us as we study Ephesians chapter 4.
