I know this subject can be very controversial and very hard to talk about, but I truly feel from the bottom of my heart, I wouldn't be my authentic self on this show if I do not cover an episode(s) on a topic that is very dear to my heart and I have put a lot of time and research into learning about.

Depression and mental health conditions, we are taught to believe, are diseases where the individual has a chemical imbalance in the brain.  We are also taught that there is a drug, SSRIs (better known as your anti-depressants) that can provide relief if not cure someone's depression, because it helps that "chemical imbalance" of the brain.

What if I were to tell you that chemical imbalance is false and has never been proven to be a fact, therefore we are sold a lie on a disease that is the most medicated condition.

Sell the fear = sell the drug.  Sounds like a good business plan, right? I will give big pharma one thing, they are not dumb.

This week I cover the truth about depression and due a deep dive on what it really is.  Next week we will dive deeper into SSRIs specifically.
