HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE LORD'S COMING?

Practical things that we can apply daily in our lives as followers of Christ.

As we go through Scriptures, how can we know if I am running the race that God intended for me to run?

WORD 

- Self-appointed, religious leaders, are false religious leaders not approved or appointed by God. Instead, they look for already prominent men to appoint them. 

- Ministry is a genuine, hard work approved by God.

- A good shepherd lays down his life for a sheep. 

- Jesus is angry of religious systems that abuse men to enrich earthly leaders. 

- Some people are ignorant of the word of God.  

Matthew 23:1-12

 - As for the religious Pharisees, respect the office but do not follow their lives. 

- The big problem on the religious Pharisees is the Oral Law, an addition to the laws given by God. 

- Qualification of being a teacher of the word is to teach faithfully the word God, no more or less. Also, a teacher must be an example. 

- An unfaithful minister seeks honor for himself by adding laws and burdens to the original laws of God. They themselves are unable to do them but they pass them on to the people.  

Acts 15:10 

- An ignorant person is easily deceived and easily manipulated. 

- God’s gift to the church is a good shepherd. 

- What the hypocritical Pharisees are doing are advertising themselves to appear holier than others. They also seek and love personal distinction. They love division because without it there is no distinction. 

- Claiming authority over people is a mark of wicked Pharisees. 

- Those who love titles love superiorities over others.  

Psalm 111:9 

- The term Reverend was used in Psalm and addressed to God. 

- Remember that the sin of Lucifer is pride. 

- Humble yourself in God’s sight and He will lift you up. Take for example John the Baptist, and even more, Jesus.

All of us sinned against God, for no one is righteous not even one. If God's requirement for salvation is righteousness is there a way to be right in His sight?
