  • Red Flags in Leadership: When Saul Turned Against David | Podcast Season 3 Ep 1

King Saul and David show us how to navigate toxic relationships. Learn how to stay loyal while protecting your peace.

In this session, we examine King Saul's intense jealousy toward David and the anger that led to threats against his life. Despite being targeted, David maintained his integrity and remained loyal. We examine this biblical narrative to understand why it is crucial to recognize when a situation becomes dangerous and why we should not stand where danger can reach us.

This study is for anyone struggling with difficult dynamics or seeking to understand the biblical response to hostility. By observing David’s example, we gain clarity on how to set boundaries without compromising our character. We also discuss how to lean on wisdom when you feel trapped in a volatile environment.

  • Love is not a Feeling!

Modern romance culture has sold us a lie: that love is something that happens to you. It arrives like a feeling, and when it leaves, you're off the hook. But the Bible tells a radically different story.

In this episode of The Truth Unpacked, we sit inside three texts that reframe everything. Ruth's loyalty to Naomi in the middle of grief — not romance, but hesed, the Hebrew word for covenant faithfulness. The Song of Solomon, which doesn't abolish desire but anchors it inside commitment. And Paul's famous words in 1 Corinthians 13, written not for a wedding, but for a church that was furious at itself.

What we find isn't a more demanding version of love. It's a more liberating one. Because if love is a choice, then no feeling can take it from you.

This episode won't tie it with a bow. But it will sit with you inside the tension — and remind you that you're not alone there.

  • The Tower of Babel & AI

Thousands of years ago, humanity gathered on a plain in Shinar with one language, one vision, and one wildly audacious plan to build a tower straight into the presence of God. Sound familiar? In this episode, we hold the ancient story of Babel up against our modern race to build artificial general intelligence, and the parallels are unsettling. We explore what the Bible actually says about human ambition, why God's response at Babel wasn't simply punishment, and what it might mean theologically that we are now constructing systems that can reason, create, and speak like us — at a scale that dwarfs any ziggurat. This is not a scare-piece about AI. It's a serious question: are we building a tower again, and if so — what happens next?

  • Has the Church Confused Comfort with Blessing?

Has the American church confused comfort with God's blessing? In this episode of Truth in a Compromised Culture, we open Amos 6:4–7 (NLT) and ask a question most Christians never sit with: What if our comfort isn't a sign that God is pleased with us — but a test of whether we'll go numb?

From ivory beds to air-conditioned sanctuaries, the posture Amos condemned in 760 BC looks uncomfortably familiar today. We'll dig into what the NLT's word "sprawl" actually reveals about Israel's spiritual condition, why God called their prosperity a catastrophe, and what it means for a church that, in many places, has absorbed the prosperity gospel without even knowing it.

📖 Scripture: Amos 6:4–7 (New Living Translation) 🎙️ Series: Truth in a Compromised Culture ⏱️ Episode 1

    In this episode:

    • Why material comfort and spiritual blessing are not the same thing
    • What Amos 6 reveals about the prosperity gospel
    • How "sprawling" on our blessings makes us numb to the people around us
    • The difference between a gift received and a gift hoarded
    • An honest prayer for those who can't look at their comfort the same way anymore

New to the series? Truth in a Compromised Culture explores modern Christian living, church culture, and biblical truth — without the easy answers.

  • The More Trap

She was charging her life from every wrong source available — money, status, validation, and yes, Denzel on the wall. But nothing held. In this episode of The Truth Unpacked, Pastor Collington gets raw about the trap most people never talk about — the more trap. The endless cycle of chasing more and waking up just as empty as before. Romans 8:11 says there is a Source that never runs out. This episode shows you how to find it. 🔋

  • Praying for People You're Not Sure You Believe Anymore

Have you ever sat down to pray and felt the words go nowhere? Have you ever folded your hands out of habit while secretly wondering if any of it matters?

In this episode, we sit with one of the most disarmingly tender passages in the New Testament — Ephesians 1:15–20 — written by a man in chains, for people he couldn't see, asking God to give them eyes to perceive what they couldn't yet feel. Paul isn't writing from a place of triumph. He's writing from prison. And that changes everything about what this prayer means.

We dig into what "the eyes of your heart" actually meant in its original context, why Paul asks for enlightenment instead of comfort, and what it means that the power he points to is resurrection power — the same force that pulled a body out of death, aimed at your ordinary, broken life.

This episode won't tell you prayer works. It won't wrap the doubt in a bow. But it will sit with you inside the question — and remind you that you're not the first person to show up and feel nothing, and keep showing up anyway.

For the person praying out of habit, not faith. For the one whose loved one still hasn't changed. For anyone who doesn't know if they believe anymore — but keeps showing up anyway.
