As Filipinos, we have suffered greatly. From 300 years of Spanish Colonization, to 48 years from the Americans, with 3 years from the Japanese, to 14 years of a Tyrannical Regime of Martial Law from our own kin, as well as the never-ending natural calamities. With all these and more crushing blows, have we truly become strong?
Is Filipino Resiliency the thing that's kept us alive amidst these hardships? When do we actually bother to question why the Filipinos have had to be resilient in the first place? Is resiliency our strong suit, or have we been fooled into thinking this way?
