The Two Percent

In this episode, the Two Percent discusses the mental health challenges of black male educators and we also examine the psychological toll the pandemic has taken on students and the entire education system. 

In this episode, we take a look at the role of Black Superheroes in comics and pop culture. Beyond just representation, we talk about why Black Superheroes are important, as well as their impact, their ability to inspire and help us cope with being Black in America. 

In this episode, we discuss the joys of teaching, share some of our best experiences in the classroom and most importantly, we explain why in our humble opinion more Black Men need to consider becoming teachers.

In our Season 2 opener, we take a look at how our year long distance learning experiment has gone from the students' perspective and find out what's on our students minds as they prepare to return to school. Our young guests were raw, frank and shared some truth and insights that many in education need to know but may not be quite ready to hear.

What can we say about 2020…alot actually. In this Episode, we share our insights and takeaways from a few key events that shaped 2020. We discuss COVID-19 and it's impact on education; as well as the civil unrest and politics that defined the last year. We also decide if 2020 is truly the Boogey Man we made it out be, or just an innocent bystander.

In this episode of the Two Percent, we talk college! Jonathan Aubrey shares his first-year experience during these COVID times. We also hear from high school senior, Taylor Wherry-Rice about the college application process and we speak with college access professional, Keion Morgan about what students and parents need to do to get into school.
