The Two Words I Would Tell My Younger Self...
FOUR years ago, I released my first Bible-Study and this is the video I posted to promote it. It’s emotional watching myself 4 years ago - clueless as to what was coming for our family. Childhood cancer was NO where on my radar.
At the time I was trying to figure out what to do with this desire in my heart to help others get into the Bible regularly. I didn’t have a theology degree. I wasn’t formerly trained. I just knew I was experiencing God more than I had before and I wanted everyone else to experience Him, too!
But looking back, knowing how my life was about to change, do you know what I would say to my younger self ?
Keep going.Yes, it feels awkward and not everyone will get it, but it’s a worthwhile fight.
I can confidently say that reading my Bible daily has had a HUGE impact in how I am dealing with Bronson’s cancer diagnosis and treatment process.
Psalm 112:7 says, “He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord”. I can testify that God CAN do this in our lives! There have been some really hard moments and we aren’t out of the woods yet, but I can honestly say I trust God will carry us through. That is my testimony!
Knowing God and being in the habit of meeting with Him every day has prepared me to handle even the toughest days and the worst news.
My book is called, “Refreshed: the Mundane Made New” It’s 30 days reading through the Psalms with journal prompts, challenges and devotionals.
I have actually done it a few times and I may just pick it up again. The Psalms are still balm to my soul! If you’re interested, you can grab it here:

And although I am NOT doing this for every day in September (this video was from 4 years ago), maybe it’s a good idea for October.
