In a special episode of The U-Show Podcast, Chris and Ben are joined by USHL Coach of the Year Oliver David. The Dubuque Fighting Saints bench boss breaks down his journey to the USHL and talks about this year's team!

Chris and Ben are joined by the major USHL individual award winners, including Player and Forward of the Year Riese Gaber (Dubuque Fighting Saints), Rookie of the Year Brendan Brisson (Chicago Steel), Defenseman of the Year Owen Power (Chicago Steel) and Goaltender of the Year Erik Portillo (Dubuque Fighting Saints). Chris and Ben also break down the All-USHL First, Second and Third Teams.

Chris and Ben are joined by NCAA Award winners Scott Perunovich and Jeremy Swayman! Perunovich, a junior forward from University of Minnesota Duluth, won the Hobey Baker Award, which is awarded annually to the top NCAA men's ice hockey player. Swayman, a junior goaltender from University of Maine, won the Mike Richter Award, which is awarded annually to the top NCAA men's ice hockey goaltender. Perunovich and Swayman discuss their awards, their time at the NCAA level, their journey through the USHL and signing professional contracts this summer (Perunovich with the St. Louis Blues & Swayman with the Boston Bruins).

Chris and Ben are joined by Florida Panthers forward Dominic Toninato. The Fargo Force alumnus discusses his road to the NHL through the USHL to University of Minnesota Duluth and to the professional ranks.

Chris and Ben are joined by Detroit Red Wings winger Justin Abdelkader! The former RoughRiders and Michigan State University forward talks about his time in the USHL and his journey to the NHL through the NCAA and AHL. Justin isn't the only Abdelkader to make an appearance on the episode as his son puts together a great drum solo during the interview!

Usual co-host Chris Treft is joined by guest co-host Brent Meske (USHL Director of Media & Communications) as the pair are joined by headversity CEO and Psychiatrist Dr. Ryan Todd. Dr. Todd talks about the great partnership between the USHL and headversity that began this season as well as what everyone can be doing during the coronavirus shutdown to maintain strong mental health and remain mentally resilient.

Chris and Ben are joined by a very special pair of USHL alumni: Jon Cooper and Jeff Blashill! Cooper is now the Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning while Blashill is the Head Coach of the Detroit Red Wings. Both previously coached in the USHL and squared off in back-to-back Eastern Conference Final matchups with each Coach going on to capture the Clark Cup. The pair talk about their time in the USHL, their routes to the NHL and the difference between the friends when it comes to conquering the Rocky steps in Philadelphia.
