Alex McGough's heroics lifted the Stallions over the Stars in a championship game rematch. The Breakers snap a three-game slide, while the Showboats hit 5 straight wins. The Gamblers stay in the South Division race with a one-point win over the Maulers. We'll break down all the games and look ahead to week 9 as the playoff picture remains up for grabs.

The Stallions once again lead the South Division after a revenge win over the Breakers while the Showboats notched their 4th win in a row, and the Stars' offense finally stopped being offensive en route to a 3rd straight victory. The Panthers snapped a 4-game losing streak while helping the Generals further their own skid. The Breakers are looking for answers despite great stats but three losses in a row and the Maulers might be falling back to earth. 

After Week 6, there's a three-way tie atop the South Division as the Gamblers bang out their fourth win in a row while the Showboats are .500 after a third straight win. In the North Division, chaos is still the rule but the Stars are now in first place after winning back-to-back games without scoring an offensive touchdown. We break down all the games and look ahead with a Week 7 preview.

This past week in the USFL was one for the books - literally. The North Division has a 4-way tie for first place with everyone 2-3, the Showboats upset the undefeated Breakers and the Stars gave the Generals the boot with a record 8 field goals. Not to mention the Maulers pounded the Panthers led by their offensive player of the week (Pittsburgh? Yep) and the Gamblers are now winners of 3 in a row taking down the Stallions.

The New Orleans Breakers are the last undefeated team after beating the Stallions in style; the Generals grabbed the North Division lead beating down the Panthers; the Gamblers win in the last seconds against the Showboats; the Maulers shut down the Stars. 

The Michigan Panthers (2-0) have matched their win total from a year ago and beat the Philadelphia Stars in a North Division measuring stick matchup. The Breakers move to 2-0 with help on the ground from a new addition at running back in a high-scoring thriller. The Generals use a 4th quarter push to get past the Maulers but looked less than impressive doing it. Not to be forgotten, the Stallions destroyed the Showboats in a slaughter.

Season 2 of the USFL kicked off and the defending champs rolled the defending North Division champion Generals. The Stars withstood a strong effort by the Showboats, the Panthers powered up and took down the Gamblers, and the league's newest QB came through in the clutch as the Breakers beat the Maulers with a minute left. We'll break it all down and look ahead to week 2.
