Back in the Day , The Club DJ decided what you heard at his club. Each " Discotheque" had their own unique " Vibe" and sound . The success of the club on the DJ's ability to break new music on a weekly basis and of course keep that dance floor packed . Small emerging record labels knew the Club DJ was the most important link in the promotional chain. On many occasions Radio program directors would turn to Club DJs for future hits. This mix contains several of those tracks that became my " signature" songs at the clubs I worked at. In a never ending ( and so much fun ) struggle to sound different from the club down the street.
