Welcome to the very first episode of The Unashamed Alcoholic! This is a short introduction episode where you hear a bit about me, my story, and why I wanted to launch this podcast. In short, I believe you should be able to say "I'm an alcoholic" without shame or stigma. I am proud of who I am today because I admitted my alcoholism and began the work in recovery. 

The Unashamed Alcoholic is designed to change the narrative around alcoholism through stories of success in sobriety and high profile people using their platforms to share about their addictions. "I'm an alcoholic" isn't a bad word.
