After being ridiculed during a school assemble that looked like it played out from the movie, "Carrie", Avis wants nothing more than to be someone her parents can be proud of. 

She puts the truth behind her when she tells her parents the unbelievable tale of not only winning the race but winning over so many of her schoolmates.

It's a new school year for Avis. She is taken aback by a rumor spread by one of the popular kids at school. When she tries to put an end to the rumor, Avis has to rely on outside reinforcements to get involved.
