The Uncomfortable Truth That We Are All A Bunch of Hurt Children Running Around As Adults

It’s Reality! Everybody has this inner child. It’s literally a part in our brain that stores all of our emotional experiences from childhood. And even though we are no longer children, it’s in a sense a lens, in which we view our current reality/experiences. This lens, the wounded child, will contribute to the reactions that we see in all our relationships. Romantic, friend, coworkers, family, etc. So, if we had an unhealthy childhood we would internalize negativity. Sounds confusing? Well take a listen, because my personal belief is that, healing the inner child, so we no longer react in such a way, is the most important step in our growth and becoming more self aware that will in sense lead to a more enjoyable life.
