In this episode I'm joined by Karthik Ramesh who is a great filmmaker. His recent short film IE (Internet Explorer) got nominated for multiple awards and secured the award for Best Editing. We both believe that we are in the grind to achieve something big. During this phase of life we have been given a lot of difficult choices.

It is a tricky question if you're asked to choose between Satisfaction and Sustainability. It is quite obvious that everyone wants to be satisfied but there are a lot of strings attached.  Those strings are what we have tried to decode in this episode of The Underdog Protagonist.

Society tells us a lot of things. Its as if our lives have been predicated on their norms.
We live in a cocoon of their judgements. And somehow we have been carved by ou parents in such a way that we don't go against those norms. But at the end of the day, its the people who have initiated these things. There's no telling to what's right or wrong. We just accept it. Not anymore. Now is the time to start questioning it.

Like everyone else, Pratyush's past experiences have taught him several things. One thing that he shares in this episode is how the person he was helped him to get to where he is. He was called awkward for how he behaved and questioned things. But that questioning has helped him discover and see a bit outside the box. He urges everyone to keep an open eye and let their past tell what it has been through multiple repeated experiences.

The Rat Race.
The life race that everyone demises getting into. But somehow get pulled in.
The specific meaning of the rat race is the scenario where everyone starts to follow the same path that the mass is opting. No matter what the road looks like, how difficult or easy that road is, they run into it; Thinking that, this many people can't go wrong. Even if they do, they are one of many. They don't have to face the wrath of the society's judgement. That only seems reasonable as masses have understood how to choose a path with less struggle.
But that doesn't mean those people get to be successful. The majority party has power but isn't always right. Also, these people don't get to do anything big. The wave of realisation comes to few but is mostly late.

To be honest, I'm one of those rat runners as well. But the wave of realization had already hit me before even getting into this race. And that became a proof from theory when my own race initiated.

Just like you, I don't want to keep running. And thankfully I have my precautions ready. Listen to this podcast and find out whether these precautions are something you can apply to your life as well.
