Our picture of who God is has swung from one extreme end of the pendulum to the other. Decades ago, many churches painted a picture of a God who was always angry, but today, He has been reduced to a Being who is benevolent, domesticated, and tame. The Bible reveals to us a God who is a consuming fire. He is not ‘safe’ and neither is He tame. If you desire to truly honour and worship God, you must have an accurate picture of who He is.
