One of the world's major aerospace manufacturers, faces a massive strike where 32,000 employees take a stand. The reason behind strikes happening in Boeing includes dangerous working conditions, management’s priority of output over safety and the growing dissatisfaction of employees believing they are no longer valued in the company.
Employees on the ground are fighting back, demanding that safety and quality should come first, as Boeing's upper management focuses on stock prices and faster production. Striking workers say that the pay is similar to fast food positions, with significant turnover and a growing gap between management and those who build the planes. Boeing has also been reducing assets, outsourcing engineers, and eliminating its quality department, putting more pressure on mechanics to reach unachievable deadlines.
🤔 What can you learn from this episode?
- Why are Boeing employees striking, and what are the primary causes leading to the unrest.
- The impact of leadership decisions and financial policies on employee unhappiness.
- How the strikes have impacted Boeing's production and financial performance.
- The broader consequences for the aviation sector, including Boeing's position inside it.
- What role do unions play in promoting worker rights and safety?
In this episode, we look at how Boeing reached this point, beginning with its 1997 merger with McDonnell Douglas to reduce investment in technology and stock buybacks which overwhelmed spending on safety measures.
With Boeing's future on the line and rumors of billions of dollars in losses as a result of these strikes, we look at what comes next for the company and how this conflict between safety and profit may redefine its future.

The national teacher shortage is currently an intriguing problem that is affecting the importance of learning. 40% of schools have vacancies, with an alarming 55,000 teaching positions still vacant. THIS SHORTAGE IS MORE THAN A STAFFING CONCERN. IT IS A CRISIS!
Between the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2022, a total of 300,000 teachers quit the profession totally, causing a chain reaction that will influence not only the learning kids but also the future of our workforce and society. SO, WHY ARE SO MANY TEACHERS WALKING AWAY?
The challenges are huge and diversified. Educators are being pushed to their limits by comparatively low earnings (an average salary of $66,000, which is only $3,000 over the national average) and excessive responsibilities that extend far beyond teaching.
What can you learn from this video?
- Teachers are asked to wear multiple hats, such as counselors, administrators, and safety officers.
- Depression and stress levels among teachers
- Burnout has resulted from the growing demands and lack of support.
- Our educators operate in an environment that is not just mentally hard, but also more unsafe.
- What will happen if the crisis continues?
- The awful truth about gun violence in schools since 1999.
The long-term effects may result in a decrease in educational quality, a spike in homeschooling by less educated individuals, and restricted innovative thinking. We also talk about how some districts are working to relieve the situation with greater benefits, four-day school weeks, and debt repayment schemes, but the thing is, are these enough?
But here is a bigger question. HOW DO WE MAKE TEACHING AN INTERESTING CAREER AGAIN?
