YOU ARE NOT THE AUTHOR OF YOUR ENDING
Welcome back to The Unfinished Healing.
I’m glad you’re here.
And if today has been one of those days where you’re questioning everything — your recovery, your faith, your purpose, your progress, or whether your life is ever going to look any different — I want you to stay with me for a few minutes.
Because today, I want to talk about something that I think a lot of us do without even realizing it.
We steal the pen.
We take the pen out of God’s hand, look at the mess we’ve made, look at the mistakes we’ve made, look at the people we’ve lost, look at how far behind we think we are, and we start writing the ending ourselves.
And most of the time?
We write ourselves out of the story.
We decide we’re too broken.
Too damaged.
Too far gone.
Too old to start over.
Too messed up to be used for anything good.
We look at our past and say, “That’s it. That’s all I’ll ever be.”
We look at our present and say, “This is never going to get better.”
And when we can’t see the future, we assume there isn’t one worth fighting for.
But what if the chapter you’re living in right now isn’t the ending?
What if it’s the part of the story where everything starts changing?
What if God isn’t finished with you?
What if the very thing you keep calling the end is actually the beginning of something you can’t see yet?
Today, I want to challenge you with a simple message:
God’s not done writing your story. Quit stealing His pen.
