THE UNFOLDING MAN episodes

  • LOVE LETTERS

I was starving myself to keep a relationship alive. I saved the money meant for food, bought gifts, kept her picture in my notebook, and believed every letter was proof that she cared about me. The girl I thought I was in love with had no idea I existed.

In JHS, I fell for View, a beautiful girl from another school. Her letters made me feel chosen. Her words gave me something to look forward to. I even changed my clothes and haircut because I wanted to become the kind of boy she would notice. But while I was building a relationship in my mind, someone else was writing the letters.

What began with the excitement of a schoolboy in love ended in a painful discovery, a betrayal by someone I called a friend, and a reaction that surprised everyone, including me.

This is the story of my first experiment with love, and the price I paid for believing every word.

  • The Ones Who Saw Me

Some seasons of life are remembered for what hurt us. But when I look back, I also see the people who noticed me, helped me, and gave me room to grow.

In this episode, I speak about my brothers, my sister, teachers, neighbours, and the small acts that changed my direction. A new school. A struggle with reading. The people who refused to let that be the end of my story.

This is about support, growth, and the hands that shape a life.

  • Where it began

There was a time I did not know anger.

I remember a version of myself that moved through life without it, before I found myself in a home where I was often the first to be blamed, the one expected to explain, the one made to feel like I had to earn my place.

In this episode, I return to a moment that shifted something in me.

A day I stood in front of my stepmother and spoke in a way I had never spoken before. Not out of confidence, but out of something that had been building quietly over time.

That moment gave me a voice.

But it also introduced something I did not fully understand then.

This is not an attempt to blame anyone.

It is an attempt to trace a beginning, and to sit with what came out of it.
