She bravely shares her experience of enduring physical abuse at the hands of the man she loved, and the harsh reality she was forced to confront: she had to make a choice to stay and risk being killed, or to break free and flee to Cape Town for a chance at a new life.

But in the middle of the mess, God never left her side. It was through her mother’s faithful prayers and God’s quiet presence that Jena found the strength to walk away, leave the drugs behind, and take that bold step towards freedom and a fresh start.
