1 Corinthians 7:1-9

Paul was not married and advises against marriage for some. He is not advocating celibacy, however, for later he strongly denounces “forbidding to marry” (I Timothy 4:3) and puts it in the category of those who “depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (I Timothy 4:1).
