Season 2 kicks off as we dive back into everything happening across the Maritime wrestling scene. We start the episode by congratulating Demolition on their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, including “Ax” Bill Eadie, who has a unique connection to Maritime wrestling history as part of The Mongols, a team that once captured tag team gold right here in the region.
We also spotlight a huge opportunity for one of our own as Justin Newhook makes his Power Slap debut this Friday, March 6 in Las Vegas, competing in the 265 lb Heavyweight Division against Zeke Taylor from Seattle.
From there we break down two stacked shows from February 28th, including SOW Live at TD Station in Saint John, where Dick Durning defeated Chris Masters to retain the SOW Heavyweight Championship, and Wesley Pipes battled Rhyno for the AIWF Canadian Heavyweight Championship.
We also recap IPW’s Final Frost at PEI Brewing Co., featuring a wild Dog Collar Match between Spike Estey and Matt Chevron, Giant Orion defending the Heavyweight Championship against Jason Boa, Chantal defeating Ronnie Payne in a brutal 30-Minute Iron Woman Match, and plenty more, including the post-intermission attack on Sebby by Daniel Wall.
Finally, we preview a packed weekend of Maritime wrestling on March 7th, with major cards from North Pro Wrestling in Moncton, Kaizen Pro Wrestling in Dartmouth, and United Wrestling in Kentville, including multiple championship matches and some huge showdowns across the region.
