The fact is, it's ultimately not up to the birthing person how a baby is born. And that can be really hard to grapple with, especially when you've been pregnant for almost 10 months and you just want to feel even an ounce of control over something for a minute. This week Kaila talks with friend, Amber, about her birth story and what it was like to have an unexpected C-section. While we always know in the back of our heads that it could happen, most birthing people do not go to the hospital thinking that their birthing plans are about to radically change.
