Yassine Abouhamid est un cinéaste marocain dont l’approche est souvent pluridisciplinaire. Il est particulièrement sensible à la relation entre danse et caméra, notamment depuis qu’il travaille avec la Cie Jil Z, compagnie de danse contemporaine basée à Tanger.

Il y découvre une nouvelle forme d’expression de soi, de son intériorité et de ses émotions, et surtout une nouvelle manière de créer à l’écran des images qui évoquent des sentiments puissants.

" From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand." -Carl Segan

We all know that letting go of the ego is the key to living a fulfilling and happy life.

That much is clear.

But how are we meant to let it go when it feels like such a fundamental part of who we are?

Well, according to Alan Watts, it all comes down to one crucial mindset.

An extract from Jason Silva's show The Shots Of Awe. There are three kinds of death for human beings. The first death is the death of innocence, when you first learn that you are mortal and one day you will die. This awareness is a kind of death. The second death is the moment you actually pass away. The third death is the last time someone says your name.

It's officially 2020 the year i always wanted to see written on the board as a kid. I had this thought that living in 2020 would be a futuristic implausible experience. In fact it is, compared to how we used to live and how far we've come this is a really significant transition. However we're all still missing something.. there's no such thing as absolute perfection or total satisfaction and those are actually my two resolutions for this year. This may sound the most bullshit and cliche ideas these days but I'm really the type of person who's ready to sacrifice everything for the self-help department. Let me explain why are those my two resolutions for this year and I'll come back to the self-help stuff in a second.

I don't mean I want to attain the absolute satisfaction- in some way yes, what this implies is that I wanna train myself to see perfection and reach satisfaction in every erea of my life. I want and I'm willing to train myself to be able ultimately to subjectively see beauty and goodness in everyone and everything. I believe that this is a fundamental principle for living a peaceful and optimistic life that many (if not all) people know but only few are willing to take the action and apply it to their lives and I really want to be part of the minority.

I believe that there's always room for improvement and optimization, and the best and easiest way to achieve that is through books, videos, podcasts... Wherever human beings could have a platform to share certain experiences of certain individuals. @itzsmahi
