Do you have someone in your life you long to be with? I think it’s safe to say that everyone has significant others in their lives. Whether it’s your spouse or your family, relationships are good. But did you know that there’s someone who wants a relationship with you? The Word of God says that when you come near Jesus, He will come near you. So in today’s message, Pastor Ken continues through Isaiah’s visions. There will soon come a day when Jesus will return for His family on earth.

There are many different prophecies regarding Babylon all throughout the Bible. Most scholars hold the futurist interpretation of Revelation, which sees Babylon the Great as an evil world system, based in Babylon (possibly signifying Rome) and controlled by the Antichrist, during the last days before Jesus’ return. As Pastor Ken continues his teaching series, he’ll be encouraging you to study the Word daily and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus regardless of what's happening in the world. 

As Pastor Ken continues his teaching series through the book of Isaiah, he’ll be explaining how Isaiah's prophecies have come to pass, as well as how future prophecies will imminently be fulfilled. Babylon is mentioned from Genesis to Revelation, as it rises from its rebellious beginnings to become a symbol of the Antichrist’s evil world system. God promised to punish the king of Babylon and his nation for all the wrong they have done in Zion. Ultimately, all evil will be judged! 

Jesus has ultimate authority and power over all creation, including being more powerful than Satan and his demons. There's a huge misconception in the world today, many believe Jesus and the devil are co-equals in power, but this can’t be further from the truth! Today, Pastor Ken will be reminding you that Jesus said, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” when the 70 disciples return and give their report. They are joyful and a little surprised that “even the demons submit to us in your name”. 

As Pastor Ken continues his teaching series through the book of Isaiah, he’ll be explaining to you how Jesus has been given the authority to judge by the Father. In John 5:22–23, He says, “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father”. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus brought judgment to Satan. There will also be a Time when unbelievers will ultimately be judged by the Lord Jesus!

Today, Pastor Ken will be explaining how when Jerusalem fell, many of the people were carried away to Babylon, but some of the people fled to Egypt, thinking they would be safe there. In the book of Isaiah, God is promising to call back to the Promised Land the descendants of those who went down to Egypt. The people of Israel are commanded to forsake any idolatrous habits they may have picked up while in Egypt and to return to the Promised Land. You too, as a Christian must forsake the evil deeds of this world!

The millennial kingdom is the future reign of Jesus Christ on earth as He sits on David’s throne in Jerusalem. As Pastor Ken continues his teaching series through the book of Isaiah, he’ll be explaining how everyone who enters that kingdom will be redeemed by God and therefore righteous. Among those redeemed will be two distinct groups of people: those with glorified physical bodies and those with natural, earthly bodies. If you have this expectation and hope, keep yourself pure as He is pure!

When we’re hurt, abused, humiliated, or treated unjustly, we naturally want the offender to experience what we felt. We demand our “pound of flesh” and may not rest till we get it. This is the crux of many movies and seems like the right thing to do. If someone shows us kindness, we’re often eager to repay him or her. Why shouldn’t we repay the wrong that is done to us, too? Today, Pastor Ken will be reminding you that scripture has a different view, and God says, “Vengeance is mine.”

As Pastor Ken continues his teaching series through the book of Isaiah, he’ll be challenging you to keep your focus on eternity and seek Jesus first and foremost. Of course, you need to focus on the temporal because you live on Earth, but where are your priorities? Too often Christians get entangled with the affairs of this world, including politics, at the expense of obeying the Great Commission and keeping the same priorities as the Lord. King Jesus is the only leader who is worthy of all our attention. 

The Bible describes humility as meekness, lowliness, and absence of self. Humility is a heart attitude, not merely an outward demeanor. Today, Pastor Ken will be explaining how you may put on an outward show of humility but still have a heart full of pride and arrogance. Jesus said that those who are “poor in spirit” would have the kingdom of heaven. Being poor in spirit means that only those who admit to an absolute bankruptcy of spiritual worth will inherit eternal life.
