Jacqueline Villeneuve is a passionate non-profit founder and director, single mother, survivor, and believer. With 10+ years experience in the child protection and GBV sectors, Jacqueline shares her powerful message of rising above the trauma of sexual assault and letting your heart lead when following your dreams.
At the age of 15, Jacqueline began volunteering in Kenya with vulnerable women and children. Through her time in Kenya she was inspired to advocate for orphaned and abandoned children, founding ZLT Hope Homes at the age of 18 alongside her Kenyan partner, Jerusha Wanjiru. Jacqueline strongly believes every child deserves a safe and loving home. This was amplified further when she became a single mother herself at only 21 years old. To date she has raised over half a million dollars for ZLT Hope Homes.
Jacqueline is a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor. Her journey as a survivor inspired her to create She Matters, a community for survivors of sexual violence. She Matters currently serves 5000+ survivors in their online community, and has trained over 300 front line care providers and advocates on the importance of sensitivity in GBV cases within North America and Africa. The organization is currently advocating for sexual assault kits be made available to survivors in every hospital across Canada.
Through her experiences as a young non-profit founder, professional fundraiser, single mother, and advocate, Jacqueline guides fellow founders and small business owners in bringing their dreams for their businesses and organizations to life.
