Today we continue our study through Matthew 26, looking at the sham trial of Jesus before Caiaphas the high priest. What did Jesus really say, and what is the Old Testament foundation upon which He speaks? Today's study takes us to Psalm 110 and Daniel 7 to fully appreciate what Jesus says, and why it provokes such a response from the high priest!

Today's message looks at the suffering of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, which is the first place that Jesus' blood was shed. With reference to the tola worm presented in Psalm 22 and in Isaiah 1, we consider the amazing picture of the Cross that God has placed within nature and used hundreds of years before Christ came to prophesy about what Jesus would come to do.

Christmas 2025 - The Magnificat

In today's seasonal message, we briefly talk through the introduction to Luke's gospel before focusing on The Magnificat. We see how Mary draws from two of the Psalms to frame what is happening to her in terms of God's covenant with Israel. As we do, we ponder the significance of the fact she speaks in the past tense of future things, and are challenged about what a "blessed" or "favoured" life really looks like.

In today's study we consider Jesus' well-known - and often mistaught - message on the Sheep and Goats Judgement. We consider the severity of the message and the outcome for the goats, concluding that the key point here is that the deeds of service to the brethren are an overflow of a saved heart, and not works one must strive to do to be saved.
