Have you ever stopped to consider what God the Father is saving us from through Jesus Christ? It's truly awesome when you look at it. We live in a lost world that is in rebellion against our Holy God and Father. Everything from generational curses, immorality, suppression of truth, and degraded passions define the modern world we live in. Yet, those who belong to Christ can exist in the world without becoming like the world because of His awesome grace. Let's take a closer look at God the Father's awesome grace and what He is saving believers from through Jesus Christ.

"And we also thank God continually because, when you received the Word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the Word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe." -1 Thessalonians 2:13 

Let's take a dive into the question - Is the Bible true? There is historical, archaeological, and scientific proof as well as eyewitness accounts of the Bible authenticity. But there is no better proof of the Bible's divine inspiration than its ability to change the minds and hearts of its readers.

It is true that human authors wrote the Bible, but they wrote it by God the Father's inspiration. He approved every writing included in His Holy Book and inspired the authors to pen His Words. In this episode we'll look at some of the simple reasons why you can trust the Bible.

1 Corinthians 2:9 reads, "But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 

Isn't that a great reason to seek the Lord God and hope in His Holy name? Isn’t that a great reason to bask in His glorious presence? 

Are you ready to accept that we cannot even understand those things which the Lord has prepared for those who love Him? Can you believe that He has such extraordinary plans for those who He calls according to His purpose? Well let's talk about it. 

The Lord already knows what He is going to do and yet He is inviting us into His glorious presence right now so that we can see His work and so we experience refreshment in His loving Spirit. Therefore, let us go boldly to the throne of His marvelous presence and abide in His perfect light, life, and love.

In this short but sweet message, I want to share with you the simple fact that GOD IS IN CONTROL. If we slow down and be still we can clearly see His hand at work in everything. If we settle ourselves in stillness and silence we can hear what He is saying to us. This is important because we know what He speaks is power! So no matter what you are going through remember God is in control and wants you to rely on Him through it all! Be loved, beloved.

Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You - Jeremiah 32:17

Jesus came to deliver the human race from death and to fulfill in man God's perfect will, abundant life! Knowing this, how can we resist?! Salvation is already accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ, all we need to do is believe and receive!

“Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”  -1 Corinthians 15:54b-55

If we consider the violence, hatred, and harmful behavior happening in the world it is easy to see how God is allowing us to see just how far we have fallen away from His goodness. This, coupled with the mental health and emotional turmoil rising among our young adult population, God is showing us a huge sign that we are in a very fallen state. These conditions result when human minds are set on sin instead of Christ; on self-righteousness instead of Christ-mindedness. The resulting identity crises take shape when humans create a misinformed and sinful identity for themselves rather than taking on their identity in Christ. When we realize that the goal of mankind is to willingly align with its identity in Christ, we will be better off in this world and the next.  

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"- 2 Corinthians 5:17

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -Ephesians 2:10

Sin, wickedness, rebelliousness, and evil behavior and attitiudes contribute to the physical and moral decay we see happening in this world. Humankind must return to the image God intended for us before we allowed sin to rule our lives. The only way to turn away from sin and toward God's perfect image for us is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This is because we cannot save ourselves from sin, only He can, that is why He is the only Way and the only Image we should look to and depend on. 

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". -John 14:6

The Risen Christ is Faith's Reality. And in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Paul lays out the reality of the Gospel in plain language, 

"Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,"

The message of the cross is simple and pure and able to transform the ungodly into the righteousness of Christ unto salvation for all who believe.

James 1:2-5 reminds us of the realities of human life, trials, and temptations. The truth is that we must experience trials and temptations because we live in a broken world. But thank the Lord that His Word never just leaves us with the bad news about our condition. God did not just make us aware of our sinful condition, He provided a remedy for us to deal with it: patience and endurance through Christ Jesus! In Christ there is a greater reality about believers, and we are to believe what God says about us. Let's talk about it.
