On this week's episode of the podcast, Matty has a conversation with coach and filmmaker David Taylor. David spent 10 years on Tony Robbins' team, before discovering a completely different model of coaching - using the simplicity of listening, and capturing people's responses on film, which David found was truly transformative.
We explore David's own astonishing story, the value of empathy that can only truly be shared by listening, and the power of listening as the world addresses racism and prejudice.

Welcome to The Entrecouragement Podcast. The home of purpose-driven business, entrepreneurship and creativity. Each week we bring you inspirational interviews, fresh ideas, and actionable insights - to help you build your purpose-driven business, and create a life of meaning. With your host, Matty Hawthorne
Our guest this week would like us to think differently about growing older. This week on The Entrecouragement Podcast is Matty's interview from July 2018, when he got to speak to writer, activist and author Ashton Applewhite; a New York based advocate around issue of ageism.
Ashton's TED Talk has well over a million and a half views, and her book tackling ageism ‘This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism’ asks why we make the assumption that older people are alike and that ageing impoverishes us.
By far the hardest hit group during the Coronavirus pandemic - both from the risk posed by the virus and from the effects of isolation - are those who are older in our communities, this interview from 2018 is timely as we tackle a global virus that puts our older population at greatest risk.
We talk about old people and sexiness, why issues like Brexit seem to divide old and young, why anti ageing products are so prevalent, and how we can best tackle ageism.

EPISODE 2 | With Dr Dave Carbonell
In this episode, Matty gets honest about some of his fears and anxieties, whilst chatting to a leading expert in the field of anxiety.
During the Coronavirus crisis, one thing that most of us have felt is a feeling of worry or anxiety; whether you've felt concerned about the macro issues resulting from the global pandemic - the tragic death rate, the impact on the economy or the pressure on the heath system - or issues closer to home, of loved ones becoming unwell, personal or business finances being impacted, or the pressures of having the family locked down at home for weeks on end.
Back in October 2018, I got to interview a leading thinker, author and practitioner in the field of anxiety - Dr Dave Carbonell, also known as the Anxiety Coach. In this episode Dave tackles the core of anxiety, and how to handle the feelings that each of us feel, particularly at such uncertain and turbulent times as these.
