In 1803, Thomas Jefferson purchased over 530,000,000 sq acres of land from France for $15 million. This event was known as the Louisiana Purchase. It was from this date that the "Empire of Liberty" and Manifest Destiny took is foothold. There may be a few curse words in this episode so listener discretion is advised.
