The Velvet Bookmark Podcast

Join Casey and Alice for episode three of The Velvet Bookmark as they plunge into Vicious Fae by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. We start by unpacking the creepy dragon-shrine stalker vibes, then expose the sinister siren counselor who’s weaponizing therapy. From pacing quirks to polyamorous pitfalls, we debate whether Elise’s romantic ideals are empowering—or just plain messy. Spoiler warning: And of course, we can’t get over Leon’s heart-stopping revival and the moment the stars declare new Elysian mates. Grab your tea (or Kill Blaze), settle in, and prepare for strong opinions, and unhinged fangirling.

Join Casey and Alice as they transport you to the enchanted world of Savage Fae, where fire, water, earth, and air collide in a reverse-harem romance that’s as emotionally rich as it is magically charged. They explore Elise’s journey of self-discovery as she forges unexpected bonds with four captivating Fae kings, delve into the novel’s thoughtful portrayal of polyamory, and tease the secrets of Solaria’s intricate magic system—all without giving away the biggest twists. Whether you’re a veteran of fae-touched tales or new to enchanted courts, this energetic conversation offers fresh insights, spirited banter, and plenty of reasons to pick up the series and read along with Casey and Alice.
