Yes, we've returned from our Sega Mania Magazine-finishing hiatus and we're quite literally diving back in with some wet, watery, soggy, damp and amphibious games. It was originally going to be games with oceans, but Alex's pick doesn't actually have an ocean in it.

Your favourite game franchise getting a bit forgotten? Have no fear, because someone else will make a legally distinct homage to it. Hell, maybe the original developers will tell their publisher to sod off and then do it themselves somewhere else.

However they come about, spiritual successors can be equally as, if not more, special as their original inspiration, and we've got four amazing examples to nominate for the Video Game Hall of Fame.
