The View From the Forge

Valley Forge has released a draft White-tailed Deer Management Plan. Listen as Kris Heister highlights the alternatives of the plan and discusses how the public can access copies of the plan and submit comments to the park. Public comment period closes February 17, 2009.

Work continues at the Valley Forge Train Station to develop an interpretive center and public contact station. This month's edition will take you inside the train station for a sneak peak at the work that is going on and give you an idea of what will be inside the building when rehabilitation is complete.

The September episode of The View from the Forge includes the information on fall programs, campfire programs, National Public Lands Day and a visitor safety message.

The June episode of The View from the Forge includes the summer season programming, National Trails Day, March-Out Celebrations, and new junior ranger programs.

The April View from the Forge recaps the Join the Continental Army program which concluded for the year on April 5, 2008. National Park Week, The 3rd Annual Revolutionary Run, National Junior Ranger, and French Alliance Celebrations are all on the calendar of events.
