She is the Director of Jasoro Consulting, a newly established Development Consultancy that provides organisations with services on policy, programming and organisational strategies toward the development of Africa. She is a member of the board for the Kagiso Trust. In 2015, she was appointed to the National Planning Commission to advise the President on the implementation of the National Development Plan of South Africa.

She has successfully led, a policy think-tank called Youth Lab, is a former Mandela Washington Fellow and has lectured at three South African Universities. She holds a Masters in Sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is a skilled writer, a dynamic youth worker and one of South Africa's foremost thinkers.

Given COVID-19, these shortages of APIs has highlighted deep vulnerabilities in South Africa’s medicine supply chain. Almost all APIs used in the production of medicine in the country are imported, with the vast majority coming from China and India.

In recognition of South African Youth day and Day of the African Child, Bridges: A Pan-Afrikan Arts Movement (based in New York, USA) and eBukhosini Solutions (based in Johannesburg, South Africa) are hosting a virtual event called AMPLIFY! Youth Arts in Action, empowering the voices and artistry of our young people.

In respect of the young people who fought for freedom in 1976, the African Union initiated the International Day of the African Child in 1991, to be observed on the 16th of June and to highlight the need for African children to be granted protection, good education and quality lives.
The AMPLIFY event wants to create awareness that the current generation of African children and youth are often judged, forgotten, marginalized and silenced. Yet, they represent unlimited talent, skills, capabilities, visions and wisdom – so much untapped potential.

As of 1st July, passengers will have to tighten their belts as taxi fare prices are set to increase by up to R7,00 per trip. For long-distance commuters, trips leaving Gauteng will increase by R50 per route. These price hikes come as a result of impact of COVID 19 pandemic, in line with their operational costs.

However, there has been growing tensions with Department of Transport on the financial relief from government. This has led to calls to disrupt operations in Gauteng. Minister Fikile Mbalula stated that whilst the industry was within its rights to increase taxi fares, it should not overburden commuters. The industry is a pillar in the public transport system and it should service the basic needs of commuters. Further, the Department also stated that after consultation with taxi associations and officials, it would not be able to recover all their revenue loses.

Another landmark ruling has been made in the Constitutional Court, as independent candidate have been granted opportunity to stand for national and provincial elections.

For the New Nation Movement, today's ruling is vindication after struggling within the legal system for the past 12 months. For the Department of Home Affairs, its time to face the music as not only do they have to pay for the legal fees but answer tough questions as to why the Van Slabbert report recommendations were never implicated. Parliament has been mandated to amend the Electoral Act within 24 months.
