Dan Moyane is a South African-born host, journalist, and radio station manager. Moyane started as a trainee reporter and climbed to a news editor. Later, he moved from being a newsreader to a talk show host. From a station manager of 702, he became the executive chairperson of Primedia Broadcasting.

Dan also worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation, as a freelance journalist, from 1985 to 1991. In July 2013, he started working at eNCA as a news anchor.

To many viewers, the television personality anchors on the Johannesburg-based news channel eNCA. The veteran South African media personality authored the book I Don’t Want To Die Unknown.

Bra Dan worked at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited as a Strategic Marketing Consultant. He joined the company as a Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility Executive. In July 2018, he became the Chairman of the independent South African PR consultancy – AceCubePR.

The FASSET (Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority) Women’s Legacy Programme was launched last week and it seeks to empower executive and middle management women in the finance sector on leadership areas and will provide vital mentoring.  Nine hundred and sixty women will receive vital mentoring and leadership training during the next three years to emerge as the future generation of ethical leaders, thanks to the partnership between International Women’s Forum South Africa (IWFSA), the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) and Duke University’s Duke Corporate Education (DukeCE).

Sadag, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, is celebrating their third annual Support Group Awareness Week from today until Friday the 27th of January 2023. Their Support Group offering is very close to the work that they do, as Support Groups were the core of where it all began for SADAG.

SADAG Founder and Director, Zane Wilson, following her own experience with years of undiagnosed panic disorder, realised how stigmatised Mental Illness was in South Africa and how little help and support was available to sufferers and loved ones. She decided to start a Support Group, which then became what is now known as the “The South African Depression and Anxiety Group”. Fast forward 28 years, and now SADAG proudly hosts over 160 Free Support Groups nationwide.

Support groups have become popular in the past couple of decades and the focus has shifted from mental illness alone. The group dynamic often helps people feel supported as they move forward. Whether your goal is growth, improving social skills, or something else, group therapy could help you achieve it.

#Enviro - The impact of technology on the agricultural sector in Kenya

Digital agricultural services have proliferated across Africa over the last decade. Most are services that work on mobile phones, although more advanced technologies are in use too – like satellite images, sensors, blockchains and big data analytics.

Kenya is at the forefront of this development in Africa. The country is home to numerous service providers that seek to solve problems in food and agriculture using digital technologies.  But scaling up these solutions remains a challenge. A study on digital agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa showed that only a few service providers managed to register more than one million users. In Kenya, it’s estimated that only 20% to 30% of farmers use a digital agricultural solution. This is better than other countries in the region – but still low.

#BATHOPELE: Trade Unions reply to the viral video of the MEC of Health in Limpopo Over the weekend, a series of videos went viral of the Limpopo MEC of Health reprimanding the staff of the Rethabile Community Health Centre in Polokwane. In one of the videos, MEC reprimanded a manager for taking lunch while patients were still waiting in long queues.
