The Viking Coaches Corner welcomes back, LHS guys wrestling to the podcast.  Kurt sits down with Coach Tony Harmer, Athletic Director Matt Aldrich, and sophomore, Stewie Aldrich.  

Both the mens and Womens wrestling program had successful events in the preceding days including the men’s win over a ranked opponent.  Every wrestler on the team has an important roll during an event.  Listen to this episode and learn about how Stewie wrestled the final match to anchor the win.

The Viking Coaches Corner welcomes the LHS Band Program to the podcast.  Kurt sits down with Director Matt Langlois and special guests, Braydon and Landon Mendes.  You will get a cool inside look at the program from not only the director's point of view, but also from the view of a student and parent.  

The LHS band performs in several competitions during the marching season as well as in the spring season.  These kids work hard to bring you great music and put in long hours outside of class to do so.  There is a whole group of amazing people who help make the band so successful.  

We are excited to show you an inside look at our band program and would encourage the Lakewood youth to get involved. So grab a cup of coffee and hit play on this episode.

Welcome to this episode of the Viking Coaches Corner.  Today, Kurt Sits down with girls wrestling coaches, Lane Allen and Allison Slater and talk about the program from high school to the kids club sport.  They also brought Lake Vike wrestler, Peyton Federau to join in on the discussion.  

The Lakewood girls team is growing! It's great to learn about where the program is today and how it provides life long direction to the members.  In this episode, you'll get a chance to meet the guests.  You'll learn how to become a girl wrestler at both the high school level as well as the junior level. You'll also learn some of the scoring system as well as rules. So, join us for this and more!

The National Bank Rival Trophy has returned to Lakewood!  Congratulations Vikings on your final home game and pulling out the win over the Ionia Bulldogs. It was a great game and you played with class.

Welcome to the Viking Coaches Corner Podcast. It’s Ionia - rivalry week! In this episode, Kurt sits down with Varsity Head Football Coach, Tim Swore and receiver/defensive coach, Travis Ackerson.  We also have have senior, Logan Greggitis joining in the conversation.

With this being rivalry week, the traveling National Bank trophy will make its appearance back at Lakewood’s Unity Field on Friday, October 24 at 7 pm.  It’s been a while since we have given the trophy a proper home.  So, join us in the stands and help your Vikings defeat the Bulldogs!

Also, this week, the powder puff football will be happening on October 22 starting at 6 pm. Bring your umbrella? We hope not!

The Lady Vikes will play on their home volleyball court Tuesday, October 21 with senior night and will start their league play on Saturday the 25th.

The Viking Coaches Corner welcomes LHS competitive cheer and sideline cheer to the podcast.  Kurt sits down with special guests, Head Coach Kim Martin and LHS senior, Taylor Carpenter.  

LHS competitive cheer is no joke.  LHS has won conference titles for 15 years in a row!  They have earned five district titles.  They have earned a regional title and have made the state finals eight times.

Welcome to the Viking Coaches Corner Podcast. Today, Kurt is out on assignment announcing for the Lakewood Lady Vikes in their home contest against the Ionia Bulldogs.  Coach Swore is filling in as the host and has invited Head Wrestling Coach, Tony Harmer and Bryson Boucher (11th grade) to join in with this podcast.  

They will be discussing the big gridiron WIN against Lansing Catholic last Friday night as well as starting our second LHS sport to join in the conversation and give Lakewood wrestling its first voice on the program.
