Another tough game playing Wolves that started well, got bad fast and picked up in injury time. Villa had big chances to win it all at the death and Wolves had their opportunities too as a down week for Douglas Luiz saw no control in midfield. Matt Doherty finally catches up with an attacker only to bundle Watkins over but another good process from VAR lets it go. We also talk Arsenal v Man City and the new strategy Ten Hag should lean into.

Another cup defeat for Unai Emery's Aston Villa and comfortably one of the worst performances in his time. A handful of changes was enough to take Villa from a team that coasted by Chelsea to a team that genuinely got destroyed by Sean Dyche's Everton. Youri Tielemans was unhappy with game time and tonight he got far too much game time. A lot to talk about as Villa blow the chance to make the last 16 of a League Cup that no longer includes Man City.
