Over-scheduling our lives negatively can affect our physical and emotional well-being and make it harder to maintain healthy personal relationships.
Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die. Do yourself a favor and forgive...but don't forget!
Small talk is simply a way to open the door and initiate verbal exchange. There's no need to be witty. Just be genuine, smile, and say, "Hello".
Intuition is more than a gut feeling. Intuition is our birthright and is inherent, divine sovereignty of thought.
The more we can make ourselves feel whole and worthy as individuals, the more we have to give to the world. This episode shows you how to love YOU!
Why is it so hard to love ourselves? Why can’t we simply let go and let love in? We are the only ones responsible for our life, choices and deeds so we just have no right to be neglectful of ourselves. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.
We often believe that we do love ourselves, and yet our actions and reactions suggest otherwise. Loving yourself is essential to your personal growth, to the fulfillment of your dreams, and to developing healthy, happy relationships with others.
Self-love is the foundation that allows us to be assertive, set boundaries and create healthy relationships with others, practice self-care, pursue our interests and goals, and feel proud of who we are. Without self-love, you're likely to be highly self-critical and fall into people-pleasing and perfectionism. You're more likely to tolerate abuse or mistreatment from others. You may neglect your own needs and feelings because you don't value yourself. And you may self-sabotage or make decisions that aren't in your own best interest.
If someone has a hissy-fit because you set a boundary, it's just more evidence that the boundary was needed in the first place. The only people who get upset when you set a boundary are the ones who benefit from you having none.
