Shabari Monica Das is a long-term vegan of 25 years. She is Founder and Manager of World Vegan Market, Leader of the London Vegan Business Network, Founder and Owner of Shabari’s Snack Shack, Founder and Owner of EthiGreen and a Green Beauty Ambassador at Shabari Loves Tropic.

In the past, Shabari was General Secretary/Board Member of the European Vegetarian Union for 8 years and Council Member/European Liaison Officer for the International Vegetarian Union for 4 years. Most of the board members and council members were also vegan. Shabari’s roles involved international travel meeting with delegates from vegetarian/vegan/animal rights organisations in Europe and USA to discuss how to push forward the movement. All the food provided at the events was vegan.

Shabari currently wears various hats running several vegan businesses. Her main business initiative is the World Vegan Market, where she helps vegan businesses be seen by an online global audience of thousands. She also leads the London Vegan Business Network, supporting over 1,200 vegan businesses, freelancers, start-ups, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and jobseekers.

Shabari also runs a vegan snack business, which she launched last year, a vegan skincare business, which she started 9 years ago, and is looking to launch a green lifestyle consultancy. She has a wealth of knowledge about veganism, green issues, and natural/chemical-free living. 

She is driven by justice and firmly believes in transparency, fairness, equity and the rights of individuals, groups, and animals.

Firmansyah Mastup is the co-founder of the platform Jakarta Vegan Guide & has been involved in starting and growing multiple vegan coffeeshops, restaurants and vegan kitchens in Indonesia. He offers kitchen trainings to restaurants and hotels in Indonesia and the Philippines.

There’s an undeclared war I call “Vegan-on-Vegan War”, in which Vegans are slowing down the movement by blaming & shaming other Vegans…

Animal Rights Activist Sasha Jolliffe and I had a very deep conversation on this topic. We both have observed how within and outside our own Vegan Community, a lot of blaming & shaming is happening.

It’s proven that a mind shuts down when being put under attack. Animals and also Humans either react to an “attack” with fight, flight or freeze.

Neither of those states allow the mind to be open & receive new information.

Many of us Activist, bring our own emotions into our debates and that closes down the possibility for our opposite to understand the actual reason for our Activism.

Rae Sikora has been a spokesperson for animals, the environment and human rights for over forty years. Her programs have been changing people's vision of what is possible to create in our lives and in the world. 

Rae has worked internationally with participants ranging from teachers, students and prisoners, to businesses and activists. As co-founder of the Institute for Humane Education, Rae created interactive critical thinking tools that are now being used by people around the globe. She holds degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Education from the University of Wisconsin. Rae draws from years of experience to help individuals and groups discover how implementing changes personally and locally can bring about positive change globally. 

She is also co-founder of VegFund and Root 66, a vegan food truck turned brick and mortar cafe. Additionally, Rae was selected by the North American Vegetarian Society as the 2013 recipient of its Vegan Hall of Fame and is co-author of Plant Peace Daily: Everyday Outreach for People Who Care. Her semi-fictional memoir, Little Jew on the Soul Train is currently available on both Amazon and Ingram Spark. Her novel, Cinny, Born into Homelessness, will be published in the summer of 2022.

Originally from Catalonia, but a UK resident, Jordi is a vegan Zoologist specialising in animal behaviour who has been involved in animal protection for many years. In addition, he has worked as an undercover investigator, animal welfare consultant, and animal protection campaigner. 

His notable achievements include his involvement with the first successful prosecutions under the Hunting Act 2004, the exposé of trail hunting as a false alibi for illegal hunters, and his participation in the campaign to ban bullfighting in Catalonia. Under the pen name J.C. Costa, he published a novel titled “The Demon’s Trial”, in which he explores dilemmas animal protectionists face. 

He has been an ethical vegan since 2001, and in 2020 became well-known for securing the legal protection of ethical vegans in Great Britain from discrimination in a landmark employment tribunal case discussed all over the world. He is also the author of "Ethical Vegan: a personal and political journey to change the world."
