Being in a wood covered room can decrease blood pressure. According to a study in the Journal of Wood Sciences there’s a wood sweet spot for the decrease in diastolic blood pressure: when 45% of a room is covered in wood. When rooms are 90% wood they can cause a rapid decrease in brain activity and an increase in pulse rate. So keep that in mind when you are about to book that next AirBnB log cabin vaca.
