In South Africa, both our history and our present is rife with stories of displacement and the destruction of home- from stories of forced removals with the group areas act, to stories of evictions under Covid-19 lockdown. In this conversation with Ntando Mlambo, Thami James, Precious Bikitsha, Sesihle Manzini, Ayanda Nxusani and Thandi Gamedze, we use this idea of displacement to think about the particular experience of black women in the church, and begin to explore what it might look like for such spaces to become home.
