Back in '96, Jodie and Andrea are dealing with the Jackie hangover, the world's most awkward baby shower, and Coach Ben's heartbreaking trip down memory lane. Yellowjackets is back in a big way, and Jodie and Andrea are breaking down all the gory details of the season 2 premiere, "Friends, Romans, Countrymen." We follow Shauna and Jeff as they try to cover their tracks. We meet Tai's new little buddy (uh-oh). Misty puts her Citizen Detective skills to the test, and we learn more about where Nat got carried off to last season. Can you tell we're trying to keep these notes spoiler free? Hi Hello! Welcome to the first official episode of our New Jersey TV-focused podcast, The Watchers. To kick things off, we'll be watching Showtime's hit series, Yellowjackets. Welcome to The Watchers! We're Jodie and Andrea, two women from opposite ends of New Jersey, and we're here to watch TV about New Jersey. We're kicking things off with season 2 of the Showtime series Yellowjackets, a show about what happened to a New Jersey high school girl’s soccer team who spent 19 months in the Canadian wilderness when their plane crashed there in 1996. If you haven't watched season 1, you'll definitely want to do that before you join us over here.

Our first official episode will be our season 1 recap next week, but today we're introducing ourselves by reviewing the most recent season 2 trailer and the incredible cover that accompanies it, Florence + The Machine's take on No Doubt's "Just a Girl."
