The Watchers Part 2 - Looking for someone like you......
In part 2 of the Watchers we dive into the types of human trafficking. My hopes in speaking about this subject matter are that you will understand that trafficking is real and happening around many of us today. Trafficking is almost invisible because sometimes the victims may go missing not seen again unless the predators are caught. Unfortunately there is a high price paid for healthy organs and people pay for sex trafficking and other upsetting ventures.
If someone is in need of a kidney or a heart and can't get one from an available donor list, another option to get the organ is through trafficking, which means a person is sometimes kidnapped and the organs are taken. In some third world countries this has become commonplace. There have even been reports of people harvesting organs all over the world even in the united states. The costs paid to criminals is often high, making some more willing to take risks to find what a requester is looking for.
Sex trafficking works close to the same way kidnapping an unwilling victim and forcing them into a life of selling sex for profit. With organ/sex trafficking on the rise anyone can be profiled and watched.
What can you do? Be informed and stay aware of your surroundings at all times especially when you are in unknown areas. My desire is to bring you information and not place fear in your heart.
