In Matthew 5:9–12, Jesus closes the Beatitudes by showing us what happens when people shaped by His Kingdom step into a broken world. We’re called to pursue peace, remain faithful when following Jesus costs us something, and remember that our circumstances don’t determine whether we are blessed.
In Week 2 of our “What If Jesus Was Serious?” series, we continue walking verse by verse through the Sermon on the Mount, asking what would happen if we stopped speaking for Jesus and actually listened to Him as our King.
In Matthew 5:6–8, Jesus describes the kind of people we become under His Kingship: hungry for what is right, generous with mercy, and undivided in heart. Following Jesus doesn’t simply change what we believe—it transforms what we desire, how we treat others, and who has our hearts.
Ultimately, these Beatitudes aren’t a checklist for earning God’s favor. They are an invitation into a life being transformed by Jesus, with an incredible promise at the end: “They will see God.”
“What If Jesus Was Serious?” is a new series through the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus shows us what the good life truly looks like.
In week one, we look at Matthew 5:3–5 and the first three Beatitudes. Jesus announces that the good life is available to those who come empty-handed, mourn what is broken and surrender control. The kingdom is not earned by having enough or holding everything together. It is received by those who know they need the King.
On the first official Sunday of The Way Church, we look at the truth at the center of our name and mission: Jesus is the Way.
In John 14, Jesus speaks to troubled hearts and declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
There is a Way home. There is a Way back to God. And His name is Jesus.
Before the church ever moved, the church prayed. In our final preview service before launch, we walk through the prayer life of the early church in Acts and see why prayer wasn’t simply their launch strategy, but their permanent posture.
As The Way prepares to launch, this is a call to become a people marked by prayerful dependence, no matter how big we get, believing God for a gospel awakening in every high-rise, alleyway, and dorm room.
The mission of God requires the power of God, so the people of God must be a people of prayer.
The Way Back is a four-week series on what it looks like to follow Jesus: Belong, Believe, Become and Bless.
Becoming like Jesus is more than knowing the right things or trying harder; it’s allowing His grace, His words, and His ways to transform every part of our lives. In week three, we look at the life of Peter and discover four rhythms of following Jesus: Turn & Trust, Hear & Obey, Receive & Reflect, and Treasure & Tell. As we grow in friendship with Jesus and receive His grace, He forms us into people who look more like Him for the sake of the world around us.

Believing in God is more than believing He exists; it means trusting that His way is better than anything else. In week two, we look at Luke 15 and the story of the prodigal son, where Jesus shows us the emptiness of trusting the world, the burden of trusting ourselves, and the joy of coming home to a Father who runs toward us with grace.

Jesus welcomes people long before they have it all together. In week one, we look at Luke 19 and the story of Zacchaeus, a man the crowd looked past, whom Jesus saw, called by name and changed.
