  • The Things We Learn to Live With

What have you stopped questioning simply because it has become normal?

In Episode 9 of The Way Back to You, I explore the things we gradually learn to live with.

From work culture and exhaustion to self-criticism, relationships, habits and health, we often adapt to situations long before we stop to ask whether we have consciously chosen them.

Sometimes what once felt uncomfortable becomes familiar.

Sometimes what once felt temporary becomes part of our identity.

And sometimes we stop questioning things that deserve a second look.

    Reflection questions:

    • What have you normalized?

    • What have you stopped questioning?

    • What feels familiar but not necessarily healthy?

    • Is this something you are consciously choosing?

    • What part of your life deserves a second look?

Just because something has become normal does not mean it belongs in your life.

Sometimes growth begins the moment we start questioning what we stopped noticing.

  • What Does Strength Really Looks Like?

What does strength really look like?

In Episode 8 of The Way Back to You, I explore a different definition of strength.

We often associate strength with carrying more, enduring more and pushing through. But is that always true?

Through personal stories about strength training, menopause, thyroid illness, leadership, moving countries, grief and one of the most difficult decisions of my life, I explore the difference between endurance and strength.

    Sometimes strength means continuing.

    Sometimes strength means letting go.

    Sometimes strength means beginning again.

    Reflection questions:

    • What does strength mean to you?

    • Are you carrying something simply because you believe strong people should?

    • What have you confused with strength that might actually be endurance?

    • What no longer needs to be carried?

    • What form of strength are you being asked to develop?

Strength is not always about how much you can carry.

Sometimes strength is knowing what you no longer need to carry.

  • The Courage to Disappoint People

What if disappointing someone doesn't mean you've done something wrong?

In Episode 7 of The Way Back to You, I explore the difficult but important distinction between disappointing someone and betraying someone.

Through personal stories from leadership, cultural transitions, coaching and relationships, I reflect on why so many of us feel responsible for other people's emotions and how the fear of disappointment can quietly lead us away from ourselves.

I explore the desire to be understood, the need to explain our intentions, the challenge of making unpopular decisions and the courage required to remain true to ourselves when others may not agree.

    Reflection questions:

    • Whose disappointment are you working hardest to avoid?

    • What are you afraid their disappointment will say about you?

    • Are you explaining to communicate or explaining to gain approval?

    • Can you disappoint someone without betraying them?

    • Where are you disappointing yourself to avoid disappointing others?

The goal is not to stop caring.

The goal is to care without making other people's disappointment the authority over your decisions.

  • Why We Wait

What are you waiting for, and what is sitting underneath that waiting?

In Episode 6 of The Way Back to You, I explore why we postpone beginnings, decisions and endings.

Sometimes we wait because we are afraid. Sometimes we wait because we need time to prepare. Sometimes we wait because we hope something will change. And sometimes we wait because we love deeply and want to know that we have done everything within our power.

Through personal stories about career, coaching, strength training, podcasting and one of the most painful decisions of my life, I explore the difference between conscious preparation and avoidance.

    Reflection questions:

    • What have you been waiting to begin?

    • What story have you created to explain why you are not ready?

    • Is your waiting producing preparation or avoidance?

    • What are you afraid you might lose if you move forward?

    • What might you lose if you continue waiting?

    • What if readiness is not something you feel, but something you build You do not need to stop being afraid before you begin.

Sometimes action does not follow confidence. Confidence is created through action.

  • The Truth We Already Know

Have you ever known something long before you were willing to admit it?

In Episode 5 of The Way Back to You, I explore the space between knowing the truth and being ready to accept it.

Sometimes the answer is not missing. It is buried beneath fear, attachment, expectations, hope and the opinions of everybody around us.

Through reflections on career, relationships and coaching, I explore why we sometimes pretend to be confused when we already know what is true.

This episode also examines the important difference between seeking wisdom and outsourcing our inner knowing.

    Reflection questions:

    • What are you repeatedly trying to convince yourself is fine?

    • Are you attached to what something is, or to what you hoped it would become?

    • Whose voice has become louder than your own? • Are you seeking wisdom, or outsourcing your inner knowing?

    • What are you afraid the truth will require from you?

Sometimes we do not need another answer. Sometimes we need enough silence to hear the answer that is already there.

  • The Person in the Mirror

What do you see when you look at yourself?

In Episode 4 of The Way Back to You, I explore the relationship we have with the person in the mirror.

This episode is about much more than physical appearance. It is about accepting our changing bodies, recognizing our strengths, facing the choices we made in the past and learning to replace punishment with compassion.

I share my own experiences with body image, hypothyroidism, menopause, strength training, self-doubt and forgiveness.

Because acceptance does not mean we stop changing. It means we stop hating ourselves while we change.

    Reflection questions:

    • What do you say to yourself when you look in the mirror?

    • Are you waiting to look different before allowing yourself to live fully?

    • Is there a previous version of yourself you are still punishing?

    • Where are you mistaking self-doubt for humility?

    • If you looked at yourself with compassion instead of criticism, what would you see?

    Reflection questions:

    • When did you stop listening to yourself?
    • What part of you is asking for attention?
    • What would it mean to come home to yourself?
