Where Evangelism is first and foremost about sharing the gospel, the good news of Jesus to unbelievers, we all need to start somewhere. Here are some practical ways to lead regular everyday interactions back to Christ, even in smaller ways. As people you speak with seem open to go deeper, do not be afraid to let the Lord take you there! The Gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Christ for the payment of our sins and the salvation of all those who believe. Do not be ashamed of the gospel! Just know your conversations must start somewhere, and this episode will give you ideas on where to start.

Search the scriptures. Allow God to have the primary voice in your life. Invite him to speak to you and use you in the overflow of his love for you.

Practical Evangelism - It's important to practice as a follower of Jesus. It's also important to understand how to not suck at it. There are two primary ways you could suck at evangelism:

1. When you never try.

2. When your knowledge supersedes your love.

So how to we grow?

Prayer | Care | Share

Here are some basic prayers you may begin with:

“Father, thank you for loving me. Help me to love others the same way.”

“Lord Jesus, I am your servant. Use me to tell of all you have done.”

“God, help me to see others the way you see them.”

“Lord God, fill me with boldness to preach the gospel.”

“Lead me by your Spirit and give me the words to speak.”

“Heavenly Father, you know all things. I do not. Help me do your will.”

“Today, LORD, lead me to those you have chosen, but have not yet chosen you.”

As we learn to talk with others about our faith, it is essential to let the love of Christ be on the forefront of our minds.

1 Corinthians 13 makes it very clear that we may possess all knowledge... but without love, we have nothing.

What even is, "evangelism" anyway?

- STORY TIME -

Well, evangelism is NOT placing an invite card to your church in the checkout aisle of your local Walmart and calling it a day.

Are you living out what God created you for? Or have you let fear and insecurity prevent you from sharing about Jesus?

While praying these words, I was met with a truly sincere burden for you. Though I may not know you, our Father does. He knows what you need. My deep desire for you is a mirror of Paul's for Ephesus:

That you may experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.
