When humanity separated from God, we began searching for the divine outside ourselves. God became a distant authority to fear and obey rather than a living presence experienced within creation. As this separation deepened, the feminine face of the sacred was suppressed, and the Great Mother was replaced by systems built upon hierarchy, control and domination.
From the European witch hunts and the rise of patriarchal religion to the colonization of Indigenous peoples, the oppression of women and children, and the exploitation of the Earth, Christopher traces how the shadow masculine attempts to conquer everything it has rejected within itself.
A masculine consciousness disconnected from the heart eventually turns strength into force, leadership into control and power into violence. Its internal oppression becomes external domination.
